Stable base plates
The base plate of the average scratching post is 0.8cm. We don’t think that’s enough because we want to exclusively create stable scratching posts and cat furniture. That’s why the base plates at Petrebels are always at least 2 to 5 centimeters thick.
Scratching posts in various heights
Cats scratch not only to sharpen their claws but also as a form of exercise – they love to stretch. A scratching post of average height (80-100cm) is suitable for a small cat or kitten, but a large cat needs a taller one. That’s why we make scratching posts in various heights.
Durable sisal
We use exclusively extra thick and sturdy sisal rope, at least 5.2mm thick. By using this, all our scratching posts and cat furniture last much longer. Good for the owner and good for the cat.
Tip: If your cat is always indoors, make sure to trim their nails regularly.
Extra thick plush
The thickness of plush also affects the lifespan of cat furniture. An active or large cat needs thicker plush than a light or less active cat. We don’t make distinctions and believe that every cat deserves the very best – that’s why we use fine, thick 500 or 600 grams plush of excellent quality for each product.
Much longer lifespan
It’s clear that we use a lot of sisal and plush for our products – those are simply the best materials for our Rebels. These materials last up to thirty percent longer when properly bonded. And since we only want to create the very best, that’s exactly what we do.
