Your cat runs the house. He/she picks the best spot to sleep, decides when it’s dinnertime and chooses which sofa gets wrecked. A boss like that deserves a scratching post to match.
We think we make the best scratching posts, and we’re happy to say so out loud. Every Petrebels is inspected and tested. Only when it passes everything does it get our metal logo, our own seal of quality. It arrives at your door in a purple-and-white box. You can’t miss it, and that’s exactly the idea.
Here’s what you can expect from a Petrebels.
Solid as a rock

If a scratching post wobbles, your cat stops trusting it. He/she freezes, gets nervous and avoids the post from then on. Chances are your sofa will pay the price.
The base plate of an average scratching post is about 0.8 cm thick. Ours are a lot thicker, up to 4 cm. A post like that stays put, even when your cat launches into it at full speed or hangs off the very top.
Dutch design

We design all our cat furniture ourselves, in the Netherlands. Our own Rebels look closely at how cats actually behave. Where do they like to lie? How high do they want to sit, and how do they prefer to scratch? And how do they get back down safely? That’s why our scratching posts come in so many different heights.
We also make deliberate choices for each character. Cats that like a good long stretch get a roomy lounge sofa, and cats that prefer to curl up get a sturdy hammock.
Of course, your scratching post also stands in your living room. So we keep the design clean and the colours calm, so it fits nicely with your interior. Every single one is handmade.
Built to last
“Made for the toughest wreckers.”
A scratching post has a lot to put up with. It gets scratched, jumped on and slept on every day, for years. That’s why we use strong materials and work them with care for our Rebels:
- Sisal rope with an average thickness of 6 mm
- Plush weighing 600 to 1100 grams on average
- Properly glued, so sisal and plush last up to 30% longer
- Extremely sturdy base plates
- Strong hammocks that can carry up to 25 kg
The longer your scratching post lasts, the less often you need a new one.
Rebel tip: is your cat indoors all the time? Then trim the claws regularly. It’s good for your cat, and the sisal stays nice for longer.
100% non-toxic

Your cat spends hours lying on the scratching post, rubbing against it and licking those paws clean after a good scratch. That’s why our furniture contains no harmful or toxic substances. Even a kitten that bites into everything can play on it safely.
